Text size

I

Dreamless pools of shadow water

lines of sadness pressed around

immutable

rock hard, pushing from underneath

sacrifice of strength

of gentle spark

of life

ancient nomad

dry cold paining breath

wisdom

locked up in loss

draining her will

her source

soul cries out in fear

alone in velvet darkness

an underground black

chilling to the touch

leper of life

heeds not

alone

II

tunnel rat

words of sages unheeded

uncaring fate

twisting tiny tunnel

dark as death

seamless line between

wake and sleep

reality and fantasy

this is not reality

no escape

III

In deepest darkness met

two pairs of eyes

unseeing but knowing

unsurmountable desire

feeling the void

slowly fill

impossible tear

slides down dirty cheek

yet remains pure, untainted

by the hate-scorched grime

of god’s forgotten

forsaken

a touch like silk

of ready lips

truth known

as one

hearts flutter....stop

as hell is given up

alone

fighting

together

it is won
